Your Instructors

Occupational Therapist, E-RYT500, YACEP Tarryn James Thomson

Tarryn James is an Occupational Therapist and 500hour Advanced Yoga Teacher. She was drawn to the practice of yoga during her studies and completed her first 200hour Yoga Teacher Training in 2016, after graduating from the University of Pretoria in 2015. She has since completed her 500hour Yoga Teacher Training as well as shorter trainings in Yin, Restorative, Pregnancy and Aerial Yoga. Tarryn is passionate about creating courses that support yoga teachers continuous development. She strives to make courses fun, interesting and accessible to teachers.

Physiotherapist, Pre-and Postnatal exercise Jemma-Rae James

Jemma is a Physiotherapist focussed in Sports and Musculoskeletal conditions, with a special interest in Women's Health. She completed her Bachelor of Physiotherapy degree at Tuks followed by two post-graduate qualifications in Sports and Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy. She has worked in private practice for over 10 years and has gained valuable international working experience in a number of countries (South Africa, Scotland, England, New Zealand and Australia). Jemma is also qualified in reformer pilates and pre-and postnatal exercise. Her passion for the human body, international working experience and personal love for people drive her every day to challenge the gaps in society such as that about exercising during pregnancy. Jemma's passion for exercise and movement extends beyond the workplace where she regularly participates and competes in endurance multi-sport events. Making her someone well equipped to understand the importance of a balanced movement regime.
